I realize that I no longer look forward to blog posting. I spent time writing and photographing whatever I was into and loved every minute of it. That said, I feel done. There are no new exciting recipes to share, although I still love to cook. I know my family is relieved at not having to wait for dinner while I take “just one more photo.” I still love to garden and sew and create, but I’ve found that I get a lot more accomplished in those areas when I’m not stopping to take pictures and write about each and every detail.
I’m still making pillows and am especially enthused in dying the fabrics with Indigo. I’ve added wall hangings to my repertoire, and lately am working in collaboration with a friend who makes purses and handbags. We’ve used my indigo dyed fabric and her purse making skills for some beautiful pieces.
My blog will stay here on Typepad, but will look different, as Typepad is generous enough to leave it be at no cost, as long as I revert to the more plain, unadorned look. I’m glad because I still use this space for looking up my favorite recipes, and it’s kind of fun to read back and see what was on my mind.
So, thanks for reading! Check out my Instagram feed- Janet Brown Studios, and be sure to find me on Etsy- also Janet Brown Studios. To see my collaborative pieces with my friend Sarah, check them out at her Etsy shop- Woodside Goods. She has a beautiful selection of handcrafted bags, using Pendleton Wools and other carefully selected fabrics.
Thanks! Merci! Au Revoir!
Janet
