I decided it was time to add a few elements of Spring to the terrarium I planted in January. Check out my original how-to here.
I went out to the yard and found these two little grape hyacinths peeking out of the ground. Inside I found my sweet eggs. These are real from a friend who raises and rescues birds. If you don’t happen to have real bird eggs I know you can find all kinds of faux eggs, from wood to stone that would work.
I wrapped some soft twigs with thread to make the nest. I think it turned out quite nice. I love the idea of evolving my terrarium along with the season. I’m already thinking ahead to a summer theme. Perhaps a sunbather?
