I always enjoy the changing season as an excuse to redecorate the front porch. Away with the tired geraniums of summer and in with the warm fall colors and textures. I love these Japanese Lanterns. I’ll save a few of the seed pods to grow my own next year.
I used the same big green pot that I used in the summer but added some grassy looking corn type plant. In fact I chose to bury the pot rather than plant it because it won’t be there long. I like to add a few Halloween details but it will easily transition into Thanksgiving.
The front porch is ready for the season and if you look at the upper picture you can see the potted Alberta Spruce in the pot on the right waiting for the Christmas season.
Check your nursery and plant up a few pots to make your front porch a warm and welcome entry into your home this season.
