From this …………………………………to this!
This is a simple, fun project that can be made with an old t-shirt. There’s no sewing involved and all you need is a pair of scissors. It took us about 30 minutes! Find a t-shirt that’s way too big or pick one up at a thrift shop or garage sale.
First have your model try on the shirt so that you can get a look at just how much you’re going to cut into. You’ll need at least 2-3 inches to tie.
Cut up the side then cut about every 1/2”–3/4” to make fringe.
Tie a square knot using one piece from the front of the shirt and one from the back of the shirt.
Trim away the sleeves and neck band.
Ready for a summer day!

OK now I know what to do with a couple of fave too-big T's that feel kind of too dumpy to wear the way they are. How does this hold up in the laundry? Will thi slook silly on me? LOL!!

I've done a few of these and I find that the more they get washed and dried, the tighter the knots get.
